Dear Sir,

Re : Explanation of the Operating Performance of 2006

Amata Corporation Public Company Limited (Amata) and its subsidiary companies would like to report the net profit of 780.87 million baht for the fiscal year 2006 ending on December 31, 2006. When comparing the operating performance from last year, the net profit declined by 276.71 million baht

The net profit of the Company in 2006 decreased because of the slow down of the real estate business, due mainly to the uncertainty of the political situation in Thailand and no new incentives to attract foreign investors. Though the net profit decreased, the gross profit margin from land sales and services increased. The gross profit margin of 2006 was equivalent to 53.87% as compared to 2005 equivalent of 48.13%. This is because the Company has been successful in controlling and reducing land development costs.

For your information

Yours sincerely,
AMATA CORPORATION PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED
