Re: Investment of a Subsidiary Company
Amata Corporation Public Company Limited (Amata) would like to inform a resolution at the Board of Directors Meeting No. 2/2008 of Amata City Company Limited, a subsidiary company in which Amata holds 83.67% shares, to invest in Amata Stream Supply Limited. The details are as follows :-
The Board of Directors of Amata City principally approved to invest in Amata Steam Supply Limited. Currently, Amata Steam Supply Limited 's registered capital is 1 million baht. To continue with its 170 Megawatt Cogeneration System Project, Amata Steam Supply will increase its registered capital to approximately 1,950 million baht. In doing so, the power plant would be able to produce electricity and steam for EGAT in the form of SPP and electricity for factories within Amata City, located in the Rayong province. Amata City shall hold no less than 8% of Amata Steam Supply Limited shares or equivalent to an investment amount of approximately 156,000,000 baht. Other shareholders in this company are not connected persons according to the announcement of the SET. Tentatively, the project construction will begin in 2010, and will be ready for operation in 2012.
Investors shall be informed accordingly if there is any further progress in regard to this.
